Hi! My name is Pavel, I am from Russia, I am 21! I am sorry for my english, but I'll try to explain. I am a student of Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU)! From my childhood I was interested in White Sharks. In the age of 4 years, I have read 2 encyclopedias about sharks! After that I watched a lot of films, read diferent scientific journals and etc. But I live in center of continent and I can't take a look at sea, I even don't talk about an ocean. The dream of hole my life is to dive with sharks, and watch at them, but I can't, because there are no white sharks in seas or oceans near Russia.))) I want to come to Australia to dive, but I don't know how to do it. First of all I'm not rich, I safe some money for ticket - it's about 2000$ usa. I would like to know: in what town can I dive? how much does it cost? How much does the living cost? How can I get from Sydney to that town (from Moscow airplanes fly only to Sydney)?
I need this information to know how much money I need to safe. If somebody wil give me this information, i wil be very aprishiated.
Thank you!

Hi Pavel
Welcome to the forum for shark research Australia. I was very impressed with your eagerness to get to
Australia.
The best place to see sharks in Australia would be South Australia they have tours for this. Try looking at the Rodney Fox Foundation website. Great Whites are in this area. But all over Australia we have sharks. western Australia is a great place for beautiful beaches and diving. Queensland has the tropical lifestyle with the beautiful corals.
Travel is expensive though flights are getting cheaper, but once here you could stay at backpackers or maybe join the couchsurfing group. (more info on web).
Any queries or info you need we are happy to help.
regards
Libby
